Join ACRA's talented and energetic instructors Caitlin Shoring and Peter Kurelja as you learn to play the marimba. The marimba is an African style of wooden xylophone. The instrument creates a melodic and uplifting sound. Playing music in a group is an energizing experience that requires active listening, focus, and communication.
Caitlin and Peter will teach the group a series of African tunes by demonstrating the part and having the group follow along. Come, learn, play, and experience the joyful melodies of marimba.
As this is a cumulative class, it is important that participants attend all of the sessions.
